Tuesday August 28th, 2012, ten thousand and sixteen students gathered in Reed Arena for the first Breakaway of the fall semester. If you are new to College Station, or live somewhere else you may be wondering what Breakaway is all about. Breakaway is a weekly non-denominational bible study and worship for college students.
Breakaway is led by Aggie graduate, Ben Stuart, who is absolutely hilarious, and completely understands how to capture the attention of a college audience. Each week he breaks down a story or idea from the Bible into a lesson that can be applied to everyday life.
Breakaway is something that I am so thankful to be apart of. My first semester in College Station I always made excuses for not going like I’m too busy or Its too late, but once I made room in my schedule, I couldn’t bring myself to miss a week. The musicians are extremely talented and the message is presented in a way that I can relate to and incorporate into my life. It is a truly unique, and incredible experience to be able to worship with thousands of your peers, as well as your good friends.
